Top: Early 1967. Image dek287-85 from the Vanishing Georgia archives. Their website dates the photo as circa 1970 even though the photo says April 1967.

Bottom: April 2009. These buildings were constructed in 1911. The elevation of the streets was lowered when Swift St. (off to the right) was widened in the early 1970s. Unfortunately, many, if not most, of these old buildings in downtown Lithonia are now vacant.
