Below is a postcard, mailed in 1964) showing the Piedmont Hotel, which was built in 1903 and torn down in the late 1960's to make way for the Equitable Building, which now occupies the location (and can be seen below in a May 2008 photo).   The Piedmont Hotel was located at the intersection of Peachtree Street and Auburn Avenue.     Google map
